During the hearing, Advocate General informed the court that the state Cabinet will be meeting later in the day to discuss the Covid-19 situation in the state. The court gave the directions while hearing petitions related to Covid situation in the state. It also directed them to provide separate details about the RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen tests in the daily Covid bulletin. The court asked the health authorities to conduct a lakh RT-PCR tests every day. The Telangana High Court on Monday directed the state government to ramp up daily numbers of RT-PCR tests for Covid-19. He will be accompanied by agriculture minister Niranjan Reddy, chief secretary Somesh Kumar and other officials. Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao will visit Warangal district on Tuesday. It was also decided that the chief minister will visit undivided Warangal district where unseasonal rains have damaged crops. The Cabinet decided that the procurement centres will function till the entire paddy is procured. It noted that the procurement has already completed but due to unseasonal rains procurement centres were continuing in some districts. The Cabinet also took stock of the paddy procurement. He said people should avoid gatherings so that the virus spread can be checked. The health minister urged people to be self-discipline to help curb spread of Covid. The chief minister wanted the ministers to hold meetings in all districts with district collectors and other officials to complete vaccination programme. The minister directed the officials to complete the vaccination programme at the earliest with the help of municipal and Panchayat Raj departments. The health department will soon administer vaccines to the remaining eligible citizens. However, such services typically operate in the city areas.-Harish Rao said the state has so far administered five crore doses of Covid vaccines. The state government reportedly is in talks with home delivery services for groceries such as Big Basket and Grofers to restart their operations in the state. Reports said the government allowed all vehicles stopped at its borders for two days to enter the state on March 25 night as “a one-time gesture”. Rao had told media that 19,000 people, including foreign nationals and Indian citizens who returned from abroad and those who came in contact with them, have been put under medical observation. Such stringent measures are said to have come in the way in several places of general public’s attempts to purchase groceries or medicines, triggering panic and huge inconveniences.Īccording to the last reports from Telangana, the state has 39 positive cases with four new instances detected on March 25.
